Firing

Obviously, is a love/hate relationship with me. I mean, at least you're running the marathon to get a diamond, right? But that last marathon was NOT fun. I had back labor the entire time and the epidural didn't phase it. So...my question is when is it too late to fire your doctor?

I read a comment DH left on BB's blog saying that his wife's epidural hadn't kicked in and the doc told her "I don't mind if you're in a little pain." Is it too late to fire him?

When my doc asked who delivered my daughter I told him an impromptu doc. He laughed asking what I meant. I told him I have no allegiance, if baby's coming, then I just need someone to catch. I'm not beyond firing them in the delivery room.

Currently, my dr. and nurse have one more chance, kinda like Little Bunny FooFoo......this green fairy is probably going to have to bop them over the head next time and move to a new doc. I wait for over 2.5 hrs to see them and the nurse won't return my phone calls. Not cool.

What's the appropriate way to tell your dr. they are fired?

When I "fired" my ob/gyn I just left. I requested my medical records be sent to the new doc's office and never looked back.

Just do it. ;)

you say, "i'm firing you, bitch!"

from all the instances you've told me about over the last FIVE years...well, i think you need to fire them.

I did the same as Supermom. I was so pissed at my last ob/gyn that I couldn't have spoken a nice word to that S.O.B. I went to my new ob/gyn told her of my situation & she quickly had my records transferred for me.

Get The Donald to tell them for you.

Oh, and if my wife could have reached a little further, there wouldn't have been a doctor left to fire.

I think things probably worked out OK though. My wife told her nurse about it (the nurse was pregnant too). Her eyes narrowed and she said "He said WHAT?!?! I'll take care of him."

Just go to a new dr. and they will have your records transfered. You don't even have to talk to your old Dr's office anymore. Do it! I don't even know the sotries and I say do it....if you don't feel 100% comfortable with them and they aren't taking care of you like YOU think they should...they should't be inside your body or in charge of your baby.

I called and made and appointment with a new OB when my other one's nurse didn't seem to feel like calling me back. By the time she got around to it and said "How can I help you?" I said, "You can't. I've found a new doctor." Click.
